Huntington Park is the home field for the Columbus Clippers, AAA affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The year-round Urban Park offers a plethora of fan amenities. To provide an entertaining experience for fans of all ages, the stadium features a Family Lawn, Kids’ Fountain, picnic terraces and a tree-canopied main concourse with outdoor grill and family-fun activities. As well as being fan friendly, the stadium is environmentally friendly by making use of a blighted urban Brownfield site, reducing heat island effect, recycling more than 50 percent of construction waste and using regional materials for construction.
The placement of Huntington Park and its open concourse create a visual connection to downtown and the newly-developed Nationwide Arena District. Set six feet below street level, the playing field is visible from Nationwide Blvd. Also, overhead doors for bars, balconies and suites open up to give fans expansive views of the Arena District and the options of enjoying a game with an indoor breeze.
The left-field building overlooking the park also provides a unique fan experience, reminiscent of historical downtown baseball stadiums. The three-level space can support year round functions and include multiple fan amenities. Depending on weather conditions, the building can serve as an open-air or enclosed space, and the six large balconies provide exclusive views from beyond the left-field wall.
